Spring Family Weekend | March 18-20, 2022
We all seek to invest more time into our families, but such intentional time is increasingly hard to come by. Camp Susque invites you to come away for the weekend, allow us to do the work, and you can enjoy that much-needed family time. The weekend is geared to all ages and will be a great fit for families with small children, parents with adult children, and couples. Families stay in our cozy lodges but we do have a few "rustic" options (winterized cabins, no electricity) for the adventurous and hearty. Please call our office (570-998-2151) if you would like to book a rustic option.
Our speaker for Spring Family Weekend will be Bill Klees, Executive Director of Woodcrest Retreat in Ephrata, PA. From Bill:
My passion is camp ministry. I have been active in serving at various camps since high school when I surrendered my life to Jesus at a Christian camp. I spent many summers at Camp Susque in Trout Run, PA. For eight years I was the full-time program director at Susque where God honed my creative talents. Even while spending 12 years pastoring a church in Towanda, PA, I continued my passion for camp. I started a teen camp at the church and spoke at numerous camps and conference centers during the summer. I am excited to return to camp ministry full-time and to use both my camp skills and pastoring skills to further the mission of Woodcrest.
I received my Master of Divinity degree at Evangelical Theological Seminary in Mystertown, PA. I love worship–especially music I can sing to in my car. I’m an avid reader and a random trivia buff (although some would say nerd). My life verse is Romans 12:1-2 which motivates me to help others to think biblically and to live radically for Christ. My personal mission state is to inspire others to do their creative best for God.
Joining me in this journey of life is my wife, Heather, and our four children. We spend lots of time in the outdoors together exploring God’s creation and enjoying the many gifts given to us by our Heavenly Father. We also enjoy board games with family and friends.
In addition to the speaker sessions, the rest of your weekend will be filled with scrumptious meals, a multitude of activities, and the ability to participate in as much or as little as you like. Let us serve you!
