Boys & Girls Entering Grades 1-3 | June 19-22, 2019 (Wednesday-Saturday)
Young Explorers Camp is a safe, interactive program designed to introduce younger campers to the experience of an overnight camp. During the four-day, three-night program, campers participate in many of the same activities as our week-long Boys and Girls camps, including campfires, activity classes*, swimming, snack shop, and an awesome theme meal. Yet, at the same time, it occurs over a shorter period of time which allows your child to ease into the camper experience.
Chapels and Bible studies, tailored towards younger campers, play a prominent role as we strive to introduce each child to his/her Creator. This is all done while maintaining a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1:6, designed to ensure that each camper receives the attention he/she needs to thrive.
- Capture the masked bandit!
- Eat wild vittles from the chuck wagon.
- Have a grand ol' time at the Susque Hoedown!

"I am glad to have found this camp that is so beautiful and seems to be thoughtfully run and strives to provide an excellent and God-centered experience for young people. I especially love the care you have taken in building Young Explorers Camp as an ideal introduction to overnight camp, complete with moms and dads as counselors! I look forward to our kids returning for many years."
"We wanted to give our daughter a taste of summer camp and Camp Susque's Young Explorers Camp was perfect for that. We were so glad it was just a couple days because we weren't sure she would be happy with a whole week. At the closing service on Saturday morning, she found us and said 'I don't want to leave!' She had such a spectacular time and we are so happy."
"My 7 1/2 year old daughter had a wonderful experience at Camp Susque's 4-day 'Young Explorers Camp.' She can't wait to return next summer for a whole week! Being on her own and helping other children in her tent both helped her gain confidence in herself."
